Step 1: Career Counseling

Professional staff are available for one hour appointments to help you through the career assessment and exploration process. Meet with a career counselor at the beginning of this process to determine which personality, skills or interest assessments would benefit you most.

Below are assessments available to Career Counselors for recommending to you.

After taking assessment(s), it is recommended that you meet with a career counselor to assist with interpreting your assessment results and guiding you toward career exploration resources.

Step 2: Career Assessments

Personality and interest inventories help you relate your interest patterns to a variety of careers. Career Services offers the following assessment inventories: 

• WISCareers: Contains free online assessments geared toward discovering a career path. Receive a Registration Code from Career Services to use. A "Self Directed Search" is available, which is a shortened, self-test similar to the MBTI below.
• Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI): By appointment only. Discover what your personality "type" is to gain an understanding of your working style, and your style of communicating with others.
