Other UWRF Freshmen Scholarships

 

If you area graduating senior from one of the high schools listed withing the below scholarship criteria, please see your high school counselor regarding interest. Please note certain scholarships do not require an application.

Harriet Sakrison Belter Memorial Scholarship:
Based on academic achievement, leadership, financial need, and active participation in school, church, or community activities, this scholarship is awarded to a graduate of New Richmond High School who will be or is attending UW-River Falls. The award will initially be given to an incoming freshman and may be continued for four years if the student applies.

Lawrence and Bernice Dawson Scholarship:
Granted to a senior from River Falls High School who plans to continue his or her education at UW-River Falls. Academic achievement and leadership exhibited in school, church, or community shall be the selection criteria.

First National Bank Scholarship:
First National Bank of River Falls and Prescott will award two $1,000 scholarships, one for a graduate of River Falls High School and one for a graduate of Prescott, WI High School.

Ruth O. Hambrecht Scholarship:
This scholarship is awarded to a graduate of Prescott High School from a fund established by Mrs. Hambrecht, her friends, and former pupils.

Grace Robinson Horman Scholarship: NO APPLICATION NECESSARY
Awarded to a graduating senior of one or more of the Barron County, Wisconsin High Schools who plan to matriculate at UW-River Falls. Preference given to graduates with an Almena, Wisconsin connection. Academic achievement, leadership, and economic need should be considered.

Marcel K. and Edith H. Lynum Scholarship:
Granted to graduates of Baldwin-Woodville and Glenwood City, WI, high schools who will be enrolled at UW-River Falls. Selection will be based on leadership and scholarship; however, financial need shall also be considered.

Donovan E. Rasmussen Scholarship for Citizenship:
Awarded to an Osceola High School graduate who has demonstrated high ethical and social standards, leadership ability, and strong participation in high school and community activities. Preference is given to students who plan to enter an agricultural-related field.

Roy and Esther Sakrison Scholarship:
Awarded by the New Richmond High School. Selection shall not be on academic achievement alone - leadership and active participation in school, church, or community activities will be important criteria. Financial need shall be considered.
